ABOUT US
MISSION
The Graduate Student Government (GSG) is the official representative body for graduate students at the University of Maryland, College Park and is charged with securing and protecting the welfare, rights, and interests of all graduate students at this institution. GSG formulates policies promoting and governing the activities and welfare of graduate students, and advises the Associate Provost for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Graduate School, Senior Vice President for Student Affairs and Provost, the Graduate Council, the University Senate, the President of the University, the Maryland General Assembly, and any other relevant agency or organization on the graduate student viewpoint concerning all matters affecting graduate students.

ATTEND ASSEMBLY MEETINGS
Want to join our efforts but not sure where to start? Attend a monthly Assembly! All of our assembly meetings are open to all graduate students. Join us and learn what projects we're working on and how to get involved.
BECOME A REPRESENTATIVE
Every Spring term we elect new representatives from each college at UMD. Representatives serve their colleges by advocating for and voting on issues that are importatnt to their constitutencies.
VOLUNTEER AT EVENTS
Our organization always appreciates the generosity and involvement of people like you, with every contribution going towards making University of Maryland a better community for graduate students.
